What is Cycle Count Mobile?
The Cycle Count Mobile feature in OrderGrid allows warehouse staff to perform cycle counts directly from their mobile devices. It provides an efficient way to verify, adjust, and update inventory in real-time by scanning bins or individual items. This mobile version supports both Bin View and Item View, ensuring flexibility in managing inventory counts.
Once items are added to the Cycle Count Dashboard (either manually or automatically through triggers), they are transferred to Cycle Count Mobile for processing. From there, warehouse staff can count items, adjust quantities, note discrepancies, and post final adjustments.
Accessing the Cycle Count Mobile Module
Navigate to
☰ > Inventory > Cycle Count Mobile
How Cycle Count Mobile Works
Once an item is added to the Cycle Count Dashboard (either manually or automatically through triggers), it will appear in Cycle Count Mobile for counting. Users can then adjust the inventory counts, note discrepancies, and confirm the final count.
Cycle Count Mobile Widgets
Cycle Count Mobile allows you to toggle between Bin View and Item View.
Bin View: Groups items based on their storage bins, which is ideal for counting inventory by location.
Item View: Displays individual items that need to be counted, regardless of their bin location.
Cycle Count Mobile Workflow
Upon entering the Cycle Count Mobile module, you will see two sections: Not Counted and Counted.
Not Counted: Items and bins that still need to be counted.
Counted: Items that have already been counted.

Clicking on a bin or item will display detailed information such as:
SKU
OG Number
Product Lot Code (if applicable)
Expiry Date (if applicable)
BIN Number (location of item in the warehouse)
If the item exists in multiple bins, you can update the count for each bin individually.

Confirming the Adjustments
After making the necessary adjustments, click Confirm to finalize the count.
The system will show the Starting Inventory (quantity before the count) and Ending Inventory (quantity after the count).
If there are discrepancies, the Adjustment column will reflect the difference (e.g., +5 or -3).
⚠️ Important Note:
If Inventory Guardrails are enabled and the count results meet the conditions set in the Cycle Count Settings (depending on your configuration). In that case, you will be prompted to enter a Manager’s PIN before confirming the count. This additional security step ensures that a manager reviews and approves any significant discrepancies before the count is finalized.
Cycle Count Status
After confirming the count, the item will move to the Counted section.
The Adjustment reflects the discrepancy between the starting and ending inventory.
Viewing Completed Counts
To view items that have already been counted:
Toggle to the Counted tab in Cycle Count Mobile.
The counted items will be listed, along with the date and name of the counter responsible for the cycle count.
Recounting Items
If a discrepancy is noticed or the count needs to be verified, you can initiate a recount by following these steps:
In the Cycle Count Dashboard module, click the (⋮) button next to the counted item and select Recount.
OR
Navigate to the Counted section, click on the item that needs to be recounted, and then hit Start to begin the recount process.
