What is the Recommendations Module?

The Replenishment - Recommendations page allows users to efficiently generate purchase orders (POs) based on system-generated or manually uploaded forecasts. This feature streamlines procurement by enabling users to review recommended order quantities, select multiple items, and generate POs with just two clicks.

Users can leverage automated demand forecasting to ensure optimal inventory levels while reducing manual work. The page provides a structured table displaying key details such as item information, supplier details, and suggested order quantity to meet demand.

If Automated PO is enabled, the system will automatically generate a PO once the order date is reached. The PO will be set to Draft or Open, depending on your configuration within Replenishment > Replenishment Settings. Additionally, the table displays expected delivery dates, ensuring users can plan inventory replenishment

⚠️Note: If the Forecasts or Strategies modules have no data configured, no recommendations will be generated.

Recommendations Overview

The Recommendations page provides a structured overview of key procurement details, helping users efficiently manage purchase orders. Each column in the table below plays a crucial role in forecast-based replenishment, supplier coordination, and order management. The columns include information on items, suppliers, procurement strategies, order quantities, and delivery timelines, ensuring a seamless workflow from recommendation to PO generation.

The table below outlines each column and its function:

Column Name

Description

Checkbox Column

Allows users to select multiple recommendations for PO generation. Selecting one or multiple items enables bulk order creation.

Recommendation # (Number)

Displays a unique, sequential number assigned to each recommendation, starting from 1.

Strategy

Indicates the applied procurement strategy, such as Demand-Driven or Min-Max, which determines how the recommendation was generated.

Location

Specifies the warehouse or fulfillment center associated with the recommendation, ensuring accurate stock replenishment.

Item

Displays the Item Name, SKU, and OG Code, helping users quickly identify the correct products.

Partner

Shows the supplier’s name, indicating the vendor from which the item will be procured.

Order Category

Displays reference codes if configured for the supplier in Partner > List > Order Category; otherwise, it shows N/A.

Supplier Code

This field is populated from integrations or warehouse UOM settings. If unavailable, it displays N/A. Users can manually set it up under Item Parameter > Find Item > Edit (⋮) > Supplier Code.

Order Qty

Displays the system-generated order quantity, calculated based on optimized forecasts from our advanced prediction system. By default, this field is pre-filled with suggested values, but users can manually adjust the quantity as needed before generating a PO.

UOM (Unit of Measure)

Displays the unit of measure in which the item is tracked and ordered (e.g., EA, KG, LB).

Order Date

Indicates the date when the order is created within the system, aligning with procurement schedules. If Automated PO is enabled, the system generates a PO when this date is reached.

Delivery Date

Automatically calculated based on supplier lead times and cut-off schedules. This ensures on-time replenishment, prevents stock shortages, and optimizes supply chain planning.

Generating Purchase Orders (POs)

Users can generate POs directly from the Recommendations page using a simple two-click process. However, if Automated PO Creation is enabled in Replenishment > Replenishment Settings, the system will automatically generate POs when the order date is reached, eliminating the need for manual selection.

Manual PO Generation (Two-Click Method)

If Automated PO Creation is not enabled, follow these steps to generate POs manually:

  1. Select Recommendations

    • Use the checkbox column to select one or more recommendations for PO generation.

  2. Click "Generate POs"

    • click the "Generate POs" button that appears at the top left of the table.

When you click Generate POs, the system creates draft POs in the Purchases > Receiving Orders module with the following details:

  • OG Code

  • SKU

  • Item Name

  • Order Reference Code

  • Delivery Date

  • System Qty

  • Location

Automated PO Creation (No Manual Action Required)

When Automated PO Creation is enabled in Replenishment > Replenishment Settings, the system will:

  • Automatically generate a PO when the order date is reached.

  • Set the PO status to Draft or Open, depending on your system configuration.

  • Create POs directly in Purchases > Receiving Orders without requiring manual selection
