What is Unloading?
Unloading is the first step in the OrderGrid app's warehouse management flow that follows Unloading > Reciveing > Picking > Packing > Loading
. It is used to create a record of unloading the items at the warehouse from a freight. After creating the unloading, items are kept in the warehouse's unloading zone before receiving them on the shelf or at a specific bin location.
To access Bins, go to
☰ > Warehouses > Unloading
Create an Unloading
To create an unloading, click +
icon on the screen and fill out the following information.
Add Shipment info:
- Select a Company from the dropdown.
- Select a Warehouse from the dropdown.
- Add a Seal Number.
- Add WayBill Number.
- Select a Status: Approved or Rejected.
Approved:
The unloading has met all requirements and specifications
Rejected: The unloading investigation found there were issues with the delivery.
- Add any notes or attachments if required.
Fill out additional details in the Checklist.
- Add Carrier Name.
- Add Truck Number.
- If required, add Truck Temperature, Material Temperature, and Thermometer ID Tag Number.
- Answer an additional questionnaire, and mark the checkbox or select options that are required. (see the image below).
Add Photo.
Click Save.
- When you select Status is Approved, you can choose to create a Receiving for the Unloading by clicking Yes.
Note:
Notes and Photos are mandatory for Unloading created with the status Rejected.
For notes & file attachments:
the file extensions can be .png or .jpg.
the maximum file size can be 3 MB.
The maximum resolution of the image can be 512 x 51 pixels.
Note: Warehouses can create a Receiving without linking to an Unloading, by selecting N/A on the Unloading dropdown in the Create New Receiveing screen.
Edit an Unloading
To edit an unloading, select an unloading from the screen, and click on Edit Icon ✏️.
Print Unloading Details
Select Unloading and click the Printer Icon to Print unloading details.
