What is a Bin?
A bin is a storage location in the warehouse, that is capable of holding an inventory tag. This bin is a scannable barcode that serves as a license plate for the storage location. To store an inventory in the warehouse, a bin must first be assigned to a specific location that contains a tag. The inventory can then be placed within the bin, which is associated with the tag and its location.

Understanding a Bin Location.
A bin location is a description of where a bin can be found, indicating the Zone, Aisle, Bay, Level, and Position.
A zone is an area within the warehouse that can contain multiple aisles. Each aisle can be divided into multiple bays. Each bay can have multiple levels, representing the vertical location from the ground to the top. The position is a location coordinate that indicates whether something is in the front or the back.
Example: Bin 00-02-08-01-01
The above bin is in zone 00, aisle 02, and on bay 08.
The bin is on level 01, one level above the ground and the position is 01, which is in the front.
