Loading is the final step in the OrderGrid app's warehouse management flow that follows <code>Unloading &gt; Receiving &gt; Picking &gt; Packing &gt; Loading </code>. It is used to load the packed items on the orders from the warehouse into the freights/trucks for shipping them to customers.

To create a new loading, follow the steps 🪜:

On the Loading screen, click <code> + New Loading </code>.

On the next screen, under the <code> Loading Info </code> tab, enter the loading information. By default, Loaded by, and Loaded at (date) are added. You can update that information if needed.

By default, the Status is <code> Completed </code>.

Under <code> deliveries </code> tab, click <code> + Add delivery </code>.

Next, if a carrier check is needed, toggle on the Carrier check is required, and another tab caller <code> Carrier Checklist </code> will appear beside <code> Deliveries </code>. Otherwise, skip this step if not needed.

Click the <code> Select Logo </code> container to upload any picture related to the loading, if required.

Click on the <code> Deliveries </code> tab.

Click <code> Add Delivery </code> button.

Under <code> All </code> tab, select a carrier from the <code> Carrier </code> dropdown.

Once a carrier is selected, all orders being shipped with the same carrier label will be added to the deliveries list.

If you toggled the <code> Carrier Check is required </code> in step 6; make sure to fill out the form under <code> Carrrier Checklist </code>. Otherwise, skip to the next step.

To complete the Loading, click <code> Save </code>.

1. On the Loading screen, click <code> + New Loading </code>.
2. On the next screen, under the <code> Loading Info </code> tab, enter the loading information. By default, Loaded by, and Loaded at (date) are added. You can update that information if needed.
3. By default, the Status is <code> Completed </code>.
4. If required, you can add any notes.
5. Under <code> deliveries </code> tab, click <code> + Add delivery </code>.
6. Next, if a carrier check is needed, toggle on the Carrier check is required, and another tab caller <code> Carrier Checklist </code> will appear beside <code> Deliveries </code>. Otherwise, skip this step if not needed.
7. Click the <code> Select Logo </code> container to upload any picture related to the loading, if required.
8. Click on the <code> Deliveries </code> tab.
9. Click <code> Add Delivery </code> button. 
10. Under <code> All </code> tab, select a carrier from the <code> Carrier </code> dropdown.
11. Once a carrier is selected, all orders being shipped with the same carrier label will be added to the deliveries list.
12. If you toggled the <code> Carrier Check is required </code> in step 6; make sure to fill out the form under <code> Carrrier Checklist </code>. Otherwise, skip to the next step.
13. To complete the Loading, click <code> Save </code>.

Certain carriers require the warehouses to generate the Close Shipments (e.g. Canada Post).

To perform the close shipment action, follow the Steps 🪜:

On the Loading Screen, click <code> Close Shipements </code>.

On the Close Shipment window, select a carrier from the drop-down.

Click, <code> Close Shipment </code>.

1. On the Loading Screen, click <code> Close Shipements </code>.
2. On the Close Shipment window, select a carrier from the drop-down.
3. Click, <code> Close Shipment </code>.

Performing close shipment action will generate a manifest with all the orders for that carrier. ​

To fetch the manifest, click <code> Action </code> ( ⋮ three-dot icon ) on the loading row, and click <code> Get Carrier Manifest </code> from the options, or click 📘 blue file icon beside the carrier name.

Close Shipments: The shipment being closed means that the goods have left the sender, and no further changes to the content of the shipment is allowed.

Manifest: A manifest or scan form is a document generated by couriers containing shipment information. Commonly used when generating multiple shipments at once.

To view the loading details, click the loading row on the list of loadings or click <code> Action </code> ( ⋮ three-dot icon ) and click <code> Show Loading Details </code>.

To delete the loading, click <code> Action </code> ( ⋮ three-dot icon ) and click <code> Delete Loading Record </code>.

💡 Note: To avoid loading express orders, toggle on <code> Skip loading for express orders </code> under Warehouse Settings.
