Updated over a year ago

What is a Manual Order?

The OrderGrid allows users to manually create orders within the OrderGrid system for processing orders directly from manual stores. Orders created directly into the OrderGrid app are called manual orders.

Create a manual order

To create a manual order, navigate to the orders page and follow the steps 🪜:

  1. Click + New Order .

  2. On the Items Tab, Select Manual Store:

    • From the drop-down menu, choose the appropriate manual store.

  3. Search Inventory Items :

    • Click the "Type to search" field to search for an item.

      • This will display all items for the selected store.

      • For a quicker search, enter the SKU number, OG code, or Item name.

  4. Add Items to Order:

    • On the line item, click on Quantity (Qty), Price, and UOM fields to adjust the values as needed.

  5. Add any Notes for reference. This will be displayed to the user on the packing screen when they start packing the order.

  6. Destination Tab:

    • Input the Shipping details (email, name, address, etc.).

    • A Packing Slip Note can be added to the order. This will be printed along with the shipping label at the time of packing the order.

  7. Carrier Tab (Optional):
⚠️ This step is optional if you have already configured your preferred shipping in Warehouse > Carrier Settings.

    • Choose a carrier and service details if needed.

  8. Create Order:

    • After filling in all necessary details, click Create Order to finalize. The order will appear in the Orders list under Sales > Orders.

Upload Orders

Manual orders can also be bulk uploaded using the CSV file import.

You can go to the Upload Orders help docs for more details.
