Internal Transfer Order
When an internal transfer order is created, it generates an order that can be picked and shipped from the origin warehouse to the destination warehouse. The OrderGrid app then creates a Purchase Order (PO) for the destination warehouse, enabling it to receive the order in the system upon arrival, thus completing the inventory transfer to the destination location.
To create an internal transfer order, follow the steps:
Navigate to the Orders page and click
+ New Transfer
.Select Originating Warehouse
From the drop-down menu, choose the warehouse sending the inventory.
Accept Partials (Optional)
If the NO PARTIALS is selected and you are adding an item that is not stock, you will receive an error on the screen
Zero stock available. Enable 'Allow Partials' to add this item to the transfer.
Choose ACCEPT to create transfers even if the stock isn’t available. Stock with zero inventory will show a notification on the line item,
Inventory Available: 0
.
Add Items
Use the "Type to search" field to locate items, or directly enter the SKU number for faster results.

Destination Tab
Select the destination warehouse from the list for this is an internal transfer, and the shipping details will be automatically added based on the destination warehouse's details.
Click “Create Transfer” to finalize the order. It will then appear on the Sales > Orders page with “Internal Transfer” as the customer’s name, making it easy to track its destination.
